Encouraging kids to code is both important and rewarding. That’s why we want to contribute by arranging mini-hackathon’s from time to time. On August 11th, we arranged one together with NOX Consulting. 19 boys and girls, between the ages of 11-13, from the programming camp NOX Kidz Academy came to visit us at the HQ.

The goal was to create a chatbot, making it sound as human as possible and learning some basic concepts such as variables I/O, conditional statements and loops while coding in the programming language Python. They also went for a tour around the Engineering department, met some “real” engineers, got a short introduction of Klarna and asked lots of smart and curious questions. It was a fun and inspiring afternoon and they took on their coding challenge with a great amount of curiosity and competitiveness!
