We aim to improve the way the world buys by putting our customers and employees at the heart of everything we do. That’s why it’s important for us to ensure a customer-centric mindset across all teams here at Klarna. If we solve the needs of our consumers and merchants we can continue to deliver our trademark innovative and industry-leading solutions.
To make this mind-set become a backbone of our culture we started arranging an annual internal event in 2012. This October, the Global Customer Relations team hosted the 4th edition of Customer Love Week!
(It is important to clarify at this point that by “customer” we are referring to both our merchants and consumers.)
So what did we get up to? With inspiration from TED Talks, we planned our very own internal Klarna Talks. We had colleagues from all over Klarna presenting their daily work, projects and future strategies as well as how they ensure they keep our customers at the centre of their work.
Through this knowledge sharing we break down silos and connect, opening up collaboration opportunities and inspiring new projects. Those who were unable to attend in person could watch via live stream or at their own convenience on our video platform.
In addition to the talks, we had a day long hackathon arranged by the Engineering team in charge of one of our Service tools. They invited everyone to review and redesign the GUI to ensure it was as user friendly as possible.
We were also visited by Maria Hamm, Head of Customer Experience Nordics and Baltics at DHL. She held a very inspiring and energizing talk about how DHL, a company that is in more countries than Coca-Cola, approaches Customer Experience.
For our Service Center we had various fun competitions and treats. This included popcorn-machines, a daily treasure hunt, an inspirational communication workshop and a movie night. There was also a Q&A Panel discussion with the Service Center Management Team where everyone could ask both professional and personal questions such as where Service is headed and who has the best dance moves! Lastly, we finished the week in style with an after work party – unfortunately we were all so busy having fun we forgot to take a photo. 😊
Thanks to all employees and everyone involved for a great week. We’re already looking forward to next year!
